I have one with 2 kn in the front and one without knots at the front so that I can switch between teaching a horse to be softer and a horse that is already pretty soft and to communicate better, without them pulling you all over the place. This is my favorite material as it is lightweight, doesn’t leave rope burns, and doesn’t stretch. 

The one I use is about 11 feet, and I use it as a lead rope and lunge line.

Stick n string 

For liberty, round-penning, long line lungen, and even doing tricks, I always have my stick and string. The good thing with this one is that you can take the string away from the stick and just use the stick to do some tricks or training. And you can also use the stick apart to teach some other tricks or even use the string as a short lead rope or emergency halter.
